Amid the craziness of the election season, one thing we haven’t done in some time is our Gray Panthers FAQs series. However, we’re picking back up on that.
One common inquiry Gray Panthers NYC gets is the following: “Does Gray Panthers have a chapter in [fill in the name of the city/state]?” And, if not, the question then proceeds to one of how to form a chapter.

While many places have Gray Panthers chapters, many do not have chapters. Which begs the question: “How do I even go about forming a chapter, if there isn’t one in my area?”
Thankfully, the National Council of Gray Panthers Networks has developed guidelines for how to form a Gray Panthers chapter in your area. You can find some guidelines here. Assuming that your prospective chapter meets the guidelines, we are happy to connect you and your prospective chapter with the National Council of Gray Panthers Networks, so that you can form it for your area.
