Gray Panthers Statement on the Overturning of Roe v. Wade

Gray Panthers ​does not support the Supreme Court's decision​ to overturn Roe v. Wade. It will lead to forced childbirths -- something that is a recipe for intergenerational trauma and a violation of a woman's reproductive rights.

The consequences of this decision are particularly disastrous for the most vulnerable women in our society: poor women, women​ and girls who become pregnant in the aftermath of sexual assault, women with ​life-threatening health issues, and single women​ who are not ready for or do not want children, to name a few.

We stand in solidarity with all women ​and girls affected by this decision and unequivocally affirm a woman's right to choose. The healthcare of all women​ and girls is a human right, not a topic up for debate.
